President Tinubu Calls for Transformative Bilateral Partnerships at Nigeria-Netherlands Business Forum

At the Nigeria-Netherlands Business and Investment Forum in The Hague, President Bola Tinubu underscored the significance of fostering bilateral partnerships that prioritize mutual benefit and transformative outcomes, particularly for ordinary citizens.

President Bola Tinubu emphasized the necessity for bilateral partnerships to be mutually beneficial, transformative, and beneficial to ordinary citizens. He delivered this message at the Nigeria-Netherlands Business and Investment Forum held in The Hague on Thursday in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Tinubu highlighted the importance of Nigeria and the Netherlands exploring more innovative avenues of collaboration, including partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Such initiatives, he argued, would facilitate market connections and enhance the flow of goods, services, ideas, and people.

He underscored his administration's commitment to improving the business environment in Nigeria through various reforms. These reforms encompass cleaning up the foreign exchange market for transparency, eliminating fuel subsidies, and facilitating the repatriation of profits for foreign companies through the Central Bank of Nigeria.

According to Tinubu, the enhanced business environment in Nigeria is transforming the country into an investors' haven. He urged investors to seize these opportunities for mutually beneficial economic partnerships, emphasizing the need for creative and transformative collaborations that benefit ordinary citizens.

Acknowledging the longstanding diplomatic relations between Nigeria and the Netherlands, Tinubu called for stronger ties in diplomacy, commerce, innovation, and enterprise. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in harnessing unique strengths and resources to drive economic development.

Tinubu emphasized the need to learn from and replicate the success stories of Dutch companies for mutual benefit. He stressed the importance of adopting a creative approach to addressing economic challenges and emphasized sectors such as agribusiness, innovative technology, green energy, and mineral exploitation for sustainable development.

Finally, Tinubu expressed his belief that the relationship between Nigeria and the Netherlands would set a new tone and lay the foundation for stronger economic ties between the two countries.
