JTA Wellness began in 2006 as a one-person private practice founded by Jan Tilley, MS, RDN, LD. What started as a solo operation quickly gained traction, leading to a growing client base, a second dietitian, and a new office space. Over the years, she wrote Getting Your Second Wind, Healthy Meals for Hurried Families, and Eat Well to Be Well.

As the new owners, Rene and Chelsea Marquez chose to keep the name JTA Wellness as a tribute to that legacy—honoring the impact she made in San Antonio and beyond.
